First thought....Alum D/S installed!
Just bought one of these today on Ebay from David @ Shaftmasters, I was kind of worried the deal was too good to be true.
I paid $400.10 shipped.
I have a few questions---Is this a quality piece? What all is needed for install? Can I re-use all the factory hardware? Did any of you guys get a safety loop and if so where did you get it? and how was the install? Do you have to drill through the floor pan to mount the loop?
Thanks.

Yes this is a quality piece. I just installed mine last night, you can reuse the 8 flange bolts (4 front & 4 rear) Yes i did install a loop but i bought the Granitellie dual loop to bolt to the bottom of the floor in some factory studs underneath but they recomend that you do drill through the floor if you plan on drag racing. You don't need a dual loop setup with Davids diveshaft you can just put a single on the front of the shaft 6" back. You could probably pick up a single universal loop up pretty cheap. Look on ebay for loops that fit the 05-07.
Do you have any pics of where your loop is installed? I'm not planning to thrash my car at the track all the time... I just figured while I'm installing the d-shaft why not put a loop on.
Stolen 98 no i don't have any pics of the loop installed but if you look under the car under the front seats you will see two pieces of aluminum deflectors, you remove those and the loop bolts to those studs sticking down through the floor.
Ron it took me a couple of hours to install the D/S because the guy who built my exhaust was an ***. I had to remove my loops and then proceed to cut the hell out of my exhaust to get that monster in there. Good thing i own a welder. But if it weren't for the way he installed my exhaust with the front hangers in backwards so i couldn't drop the trans mount and welded it completly it would have probably only been about an hour total. Thats why i wanted to install it myself, i knew the exhaust was gonna be a problem and a shop would have charged me an arm and a leg to f... with the exhaust. But it's all back together and runnin strong.

Well my driveshaft was too short, I called david and he is making me a longer one tomorrow. From transmission flange to rear-end flange measures 57-7/8.... Are your cars manual or automatic? I have a manual 5spd. Is there a difference between length from a manual to an automatic.
