Default Question 'bout pony packages.

What's up fellas. I have a quick question. But first, I haven't been in the V6 forum before but God DAMN! A couple of you guys are running some damn fine times with some damn fine mods. Kudos for your efforts, especially Rygen. I never wanna end up next to that guy at a light. Anyway, I'm trying to trade my '06 fanblade rims for stock 17" bullitts and a little cash. What I wanted to make sure of is this: are the bullitts on the pony packages 17" or 16"? I was pretty sure they were 17", but a friend of mine is telling me that they're only 16". I can't tell from pics, so I figured you guys would know. BTW, if you're interested in the fanblades and live near New Orleans, click the link in the sig.

(I'm also curious as to what else makes a pony package different. I know the foglights and emblems are different, but now I'm hearing stuff about suspension. What makes a pony package a pony package?)

They are 17. The same as the GT.

The Pony package has a number of upgrades one of which is the wheel. Pony package Mustangs run 17" bullitts rather than the standard V6 with 16" wheels. The Pony also has an upgraded suspension package with front and rear sway bars (although they may be a little smaller diameter compared to the GT swaybars). The leather interior is different from the GT, the seats don't have the rolled and perforated inserts - I think it is the same interior if someone orders a leather interior on a standard V6.
In 2006 the Pony came standard with traction control and anti-lock brakes. I believe that starting with 2007 models the ABS and TCS are options.

Cool beans. That's a much better package than I was aware of.

sounds like I upgraded my V6 premium to a pony package without knowing it!!!! I love the 17" bullits and GT swaybar in a high speed corner, big difference in handling over the way it came
