well my boyfriend bought a 2006 cobalt ss superchaged this saturday. and may i say i love it. its kinda "ricer-ish" butyou cant help but love it.but its cool that its actually superchargedand not just has it stamped on the side. but we think he made a good choice considering he wanted good gas mileage and a little power to boot too. we got a great deal on it too.

Get rid of the spoiler and you lose practically all of the ricer look. The first thing I would do if I had one was trade someone that has a stock Cobalt their trunk lid. Slap on a GM Stage 2 upgrade on it and it'll be at 260hp.

well his dad wants him to keep it stock since its the supercharged version for the factory. and most of the other kids that are going to get them are going to fully rice them out. i drove it yesterday and i told him "all i see out the rearview is a giant spoiler" he thought it was funny. we have a ricer group in my town, they even have matching stickers on there cars. the dead flamingos, i think thats what they called themselves. but he said he drove through the middle of town and they were staring. i wish i would have been there.

good choice by your boyfriend. I almost bought one in black, but i just hated launching the thing (front wheel drive BLOWS) and it didn't feel as solid as the mustang....i dono, just wasn't my style. It's definately quick though and fun to drive, and has some decent potential for modding.

Enjoy it. I heard GM isn't making the SS/SC anymore after this year....

they aren't. Rumor has it, they are dropping the lsj motor completely and the top cobalt/g5 model will be the 2.4l.LE5. There are rumors floating around (with information to justify them) that there will be a turbo cobalt down the road, but it is still all speculation.

I like those Cobalts. I saw one in Ybor City in red with black wheels, red calipers and red-accented seats, it stopped me in my tracks. With some thought and careful show-mods, they can be very sharp, IMO.

Cobalts are tough little cars. Theres one by my neighborhoodand we mess aroundocasionally for fun. I've been watching one of the cobalt forums to learn a bit more about em. He can get the stage 2 and it will still be under warrenty from the dealership. So its like its still stock! lol
