Default dual exhaust gains?

I currently have one GT take off muffler on and my next mod will be CAI & tuner. Would it be worth the effort to add an X pipe and dual exhausts first? Will the dual exhaust increase performance much?

I have dual GT take-offs with the Ford X-pipe. IMO, you should get the CAI and tuner before adding duals. Adding duals does not affect a custom tune.I don't think my car runs any better,HOWEVER it does sound better than the single GT muffler.

duals sound and look great. why can 3.5L imports sport duals and not our 4.0's? haha...singles are just fine but duals are baddass.

Theyre not true duals.....they usually have one slightly larger diameter pipe going to a Y pipe and dualing out at the end of the vehicle.

I have a 2006 V6 with the pony package. I just picked up a pair of GT take offs and I want to install them on my car. I looked under the car and it looks like there is a capped pipe just before the Y into the single pipe. Does anyone know if you can just tie into this and run the second pipe out to the rear?

are you just trying to get away with rigging up a sytem with an extra pipe along with the existing one instead of buying a new set of pipes? a new set is pretty seemless, not sure how clean your idea will be. worth a shot if you already got the materials.

Honestly after I got my duals, I felt no difference in accecleration. BUT, the sound....makes it sound like you are pissing out horsepower. For mine they just cut the pipe about a foot after the cats and welded the H-pipe on. In my opinion...if you want horsepower, get the intake and tune for sound...go duals all the way.
