Well I had an MRT and that thing WAS ricey I had many experienced Mustang guys say so.Some guys on here convinced them selves that it doesn't.
I don't know if that what it was but sounds like it.
well its all a matter of opinion i guess. on every exaust post ( all ten thousand of them) it seems like we clash haha i remember many of them where i say its not and u come in and disagree. welli guess u have to hear it and decide for yourself. its 75% who dont think its ricey,to about 25% who think it is.

People here are funny. "Rice mufflers" are really just freeflow glasspack mufflers.
Plus, many of you are running 4" tips. Do you realize that most of the "rice mufflers" and "fart cans" are also 4"? They come 3"-5.5" typically.

A quality, aftermarket "rice muffler" on an Evo or WRX sounds a whole lot better than an MRT on a 4.0!!

I have a "rice" looking muffler.. a MAC with a 4 inch oval chrome tip. Sounds great though... but ANY single after-market muffler on these cars is going to sound a little "rice" at certain RPMs.
The MAC sounds really nice idle.. loud deep and throaty.. from 1800 to about 2100 RPM it drones.. which sounds a little ricy to some. WOT sounds mean as hell.. still deep. The muffler guy I took it to when I had the resonator installed thought I had duals, and wasn't sure if I was a 6 or not.
Magnaflows and Flowmasters sound ricy at WOT to me....but nice at regular RPMs.
I've never heard an MRT in person.

Sadly, hes right. I've heard the exhaust on a couple WRX's and such, and they actually do have a little more throaty tone then the MRT IMO. Youtube some of the videos, its kinda impressive

No,!!!! If you like the sound or not is a matter of opinion. The fact thatit sounds like a HONDA with a fart can is a fact.
If you like that sound cause it's loud (which it is) fine. That's whats modding is about but let's not try to convince ourselves that it sounds like a Mustang should. I have seen many MRT's for sale because of this.

That reminds me of a kid thatI saw a couple weeks back...

It was a Red, 94-99 body style V6. It had stickers ALL OVER IT, some stupid *** ricer fart can, and GREEN NEONS sticking out. You could see the tubes haha.

And to top it off...he had one of those GIGANTIC ricer wings. Those carbon fiber looking ones.
