Default Ford 9" Rear

The other day my friend was mentioning the Ford 9". More like babbling...

I've never heard of it, so I have decided to ask you guys. It sounds like it would be the rear off an F-250 or something. Can it be put on a mustang? Cost? Advantages?

I have a Currie 9 inch rearend that israted at about 900hp.The car is being prepped for extreme hard biting launches with slicks andforced inductionhp/torque. The stock rearis not designed for this type of stress. Can't remember exact cost. It came with trutrac differential and 4.11 gears built-in. Go to Currieenterprises site for more details.

lol, i think the above post alone shows exactly the uses of the 9 inch rear, and why most of people with 6ers will never ever need one. even the 8.8 is an overkill for most people putting them on
