Hood Problem

Hood Problem
I just bought my first Ford, a new V6 Mustang.
Just picked it up yesterday, and drove around yesterday and today. As I was driving around, my hood popped up (became unsecured, but still latched). Now I can't get it to lock even after pushing down...it is still only latched with the springloaded lever. I'll take it to a dealership shop tomorrow. Anybody else had this problem or know about it? Thanks for any help.

RE: Hood Problem
Thanks for the suggestion guys. Unfortunately, it didn't work. My hood sits a little lower now that I've turned the stoppers all the way to the right, but it still won't lock. Hopefully the problem won't last much longer. If there are any other suggestions, I would appreciate them too.

RE: Hood Problem
I have to give my hood a good slam to get it to latch all the way. But if you can't get your's to latch you should go back to the dealer. I never thought about it but I'll try adjusting the stops to see if mine will close easier.

RE: Hood Problem
I wanted to offer my apologies to Pete. I couldn't get into the dealership today, and out of frustration, I decided to give that advice a second try. It was spot on! In the morning twilight I hadn't fully seen how much those stoppers could turn. I managed to turn them some more to the point that they became very very compressed, and then closed the hood--it locked for good this time.
My hood is a little out of alignment now--even though I reopened and raised the stoppers on one side, but it still didn't even out. But I can live with that small imperfection.
