Tried searching but this is an odd question...I'm thinking about getting black vinyl stripes on my Redfire, and Im going to buy them from fordaccessoriesstore.com because I want OEM stripes. Apparently when you order from that site, they notify a dealer, who then notifies you and orders the stripes for you. I heard its outrageously overpriced to get factory stripes installed by a dealer, but Im trying to keep the car as OEM as possible so I want a dealer to install (and thats why Im getting OEM stripes). So far with my dealer that I bought the mustang from 2 months ago, Ive had horrible customer service (like a week to put on a **** on the back of the head restraint), unanswered phone calls, etc, so I dont know how bad I want to pay them $400+ to install my already $300 stripes. So my question is- Can I get it done through another Ford dealer? There are a few different Ford dealers in my area, and its my car, so I dont understand why I shouldnt be able to. Will the different ford dealer be willing to install them when I didnt buy the car
from them? If I'm paying them hundreds of dollars, I'm not sure why the hell they wouldn't.

Any advice from people who got factory installed stripes from their dealer?

 

Buy them from a local graphics shop for 50 bucks and isntall them yourself.

If you want to make it OEM, just peel them off

u can do it at whatever dealer u want, as long as it's a ford product dealer. same goes w/ warranty work.
