Where did you get the Mustang script that is on the side of your car? I would like to add it above my tri-pony badge on the front fender.

As far as I know you are required to have an amber reflector on your blinker (in all states) but in my opinion you shouldnt get pulled over for crap like that, cops have more important things to do, but that is my opinion. And if you order some just keep your amber lights to install if you really need them (resale sucks anyway, like $30) I got the black ones and you cant see the light come through them at all during the day, but at night, no big deal. The clear ones are probably a different story.

I live in SoCal and just changed the amber lenses on my 07 Harley Road Kingto clear. The Harley dealer sells them, so it I assumethey arelegal in California. For those of you who have never change amber lenses to clear (I have now done it on two Harleys) the clear lenses come with amber bulbs, so when they blink they are amber. Hence, I believe this makes them legal.

I am glad I ran across this post, I will be purchasing a set of clear lenses for my Mustang ASAP!

Here is the turn signal color law for California

Incorrect color of turn signal. It must be white or yellow to the front, red or yellow to the rear (24953 VC).

In other words, turn signals must be white oramberup front and red or amber out back.

Here is theCalifornia Highway Patrolweb site I foundthis on:

It was my understanding that as long as the bulbs glow amber when on than you are still within the legal limits of use for the clear corners. Correct me if I am wrong

mygt500:

I thought the same thing until I found another post witha link to the CHP site. I copied that link to my last post on this thread.

Her is another link to the the California Department of Motor Vehiclesquoting the same section of the law. http://www.dmv.ca.gov/pubs/vctop/d12/vc24953.htm
Turn Signal Lamps
24953.(a) Any turn signal system used to give a signal of intention to turn right or left shall project a flashing white or amber light visible to the front and a flashing red or amber light visible to the rear.

Soaccording to section VC 24953 white turn signal lights are legal at the front of the car. Works for me! I installed new clear signals last night with clear bulbs, will post pics shortly.
