Default New to the forum

Hey guys, I'm new to this forum, being the proud owner of a 2007 Mustang. I'm pratically getting my feet wet with Mustangs, having driven Honda Accords, Preludes and such. I want to add more hp to my car. What I want to know is what is the difference and which adds more, a shaker or super/turbocharger? I was looking at the Cervinis shaker/hood combo, but did not commit to it, wanting to get your opinions. This is my daily driver by the way, not for drag racing strips or such (hard to come by those in NYC anyways lol.)

If you're asking which would yield more hp between a shaker and a sc/tc, the answer is obviously the super/turbo. The shaker is pretty much just getting more airinto the enginevia the intake which you will gain hp at higher speeds.

Shaker wont add anything that you will notice, super/turbo adds drastic ammounts of power.

I would start with a Cold/Cool Air Induction -- Tune combination.
Try brenpeed.com or ba ma chips.com (without the space).

This is a good place to start and will make an immediate difference in the car. You will also probably need a handheld tuner for later mods.

If you have $500 - $600 to spend.. this is the best first performance mod in my opinion.

A turbo or charger will cost $4000 and up and can seriously affect the daily driver aspect of your car.

A CAI and tune can be installed by you in 20 minutes and can be taken off if you have to bring the car in for warrantee work.

Then there is a t-lok and gears... and much much more.. including appearance mods... and exhaust.. and so on and on.. and on...

The cervinis pieces are fiber glass and heavy. Thier hood is easily 40-50% heavier than our stock hood, I lifted one up at FFW norwalk. Before going with thier kits, I would lay hands one of them first.

thanks guys for the welcome as well as for all the help. I see that they are very valuable information seeing as I'm a wetbeak (new guy) to this. as far as I see, would I be better off not getting a supercharger? I have the money, I just wanted to see if it justifiable. aren't the cervinis bodykits/hood urethane? that is what is listed on their website.
