Default Mod Question?

What comes first...the chicken oe the egg...or in this case, CAI + Tune or Exhaust? Which mod should be made first...or does it even matter?

Egg came first, and the other probably doesnt matter because its all personal preferance, the exhaust can be cheaper than CAI/Tune if you go take-off. I would go with CAI/Tune though because you will definately feel the results as in exhaust is more for sound than performance without any other mods.

if performance isn't a big priority at this point, then definately exhaust. you'll still get some performance gains from a quality exhaust setup but the initial motivation is the looks and sound. i bought my dual setup a month after i purchased my stang and bought my CAI/Tuner a month after my exhuast. i caught the mod bug very quickly.

at least on the gt's, exhaust (axel-backs) actually take away some torque.

Not sure about the sixers, but definately go for the cai and tune first.

oh, in the gt section we have a rule, don't make your car sound like a racecar until it is one.

In other words, people will try to race you all the time if you have exhaust.

cheers!

I would go exhuast first, besides I think some places that tune sixers, like evo performance, actually consider that kind of stuff when they make a specific sct xcal (or any other tune) for you, but then again im not really 100% sure. Thats what i did just to be safe.
