Mod Question?
hey wickerbill, how did you fit the dual 12" kickers in your trunk? i have a single 12" L7 and i had to take apart the latches on my trunk to just fit the one in there! do you have a custom box? and what speakers do you have to balance the bass out? ill assume youre running the 1500x1 kicker amp cause thats what two of my buddies are running. im wanting to make the step up to dual 12'swith a custom box, but i dont want to unless i know what other speakers im gonna need, and what amp to run thru the speakers. right now im just on the 750.1 thru my sub and the 350.4 throough 5x7 polks.
any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks.

I custom made a sealed enclosure w/ 1 cb.ft for each sub. Kicker reccommends .88 cb.ft for a min. I used 1/2" MDF and Fiberglass made it mirror smooth and painted alloy. I unhooked the factory 4x6 in the rear deck and used those wires for my feed to line converter to my amp. It is a Linear Power 4440 hand made in California. I didnt install any other speakers, the Shaker 500 speakers up front were plenty enough to keep up with the subs. I use a Kenwood Eq on my sub to balance it out with the rest of the system, the eq has a 100Mhz low pass x-over made into it. 1 farad cap is plenty enough to protect my electronics on this setup. I suspect you have a band pass box and my whole system takes up less room than a store bought band pass.
