Satin Silver or Black stripes on a Tungsten Pony?
For the life of me, I can't decide. I'm sure this has probably been covered somewhere by someone, but I cannot pinpoint where.
Since I have the black Pony Pack stripes on the sides, I'm thinking of going with dual 10" black stripes. I think it'd make for an interesting Eleanor flashback look. However, since I have the Pony grill I think black may be a bit harsh if I went past the hood and down to the front bumper. So if I go black, I'm considering just going from the rear of the decklid down to the end of the hood.
It seems to me that 95% of the Tungsten Mustangswith racing stripes I've seen on galleries and threads on various Mustang message boards all have silver stripes. I've seen a few here and there with the Cervinis Eleanor kit and some with a snake stripe or Mach 1 tribute stripe in black, but I haven't found one with just two black stripes. I guess I'd primarily like to see a Pony Package with black stripes, which would give me a better idea as to how my car would turn out.
So... why are black stripes on a Tungsten Stang so rare? Does the black contrast too much from the grey? Does the silver just blend in better with grey? I need to decide within the next couple days which color I'm going to go with. I'm just having a hard time doing that since I love what I've seen of the Tungsten Stangs with silver stripes, but black seems more in-line with the retroness I'm trying to project with my Mustang. I just can't find any pictures of it.
Thanks,
Victoria

Since you have the black "Mustang" stripe above your rocker panels, I would say go with a black stripe.

Hi Victoria,
I think the single (wide) black stripe would look the best. if you really feel the need to put stripes on it. You have a beautiful car. The Tungsten is the only color I think stands up all by itself. I like it better than all black. I would do the single black stripe....in flatte or gloss black....only on the hood though.
