with forged internals, new gears and a x-charger is 500hp possible? is there a s/c that will hit that? i know the tranny will have to be replaced too right? its good to 415rwhp if i remember correctly

You wont get there on a xcharger. avortech or prochargercan but easiest way is a turbo. 500 hp is about 410rwhp

Xcharger will struggle to get 300rwhp, which is like 350 on the crank, you are going to want to look at a turbo. The turbo @12psi should hit pretty close to 400rwhp. If you want to go with a supercharger, do a procharger or a vortech with heads and cams.

Personally, I would do a turbo if I could do it all over again

With install your looking about 5k for procharger or vortech. 6-7k on turbo. Reliability hasnt been an issue some rare cases but that happens with anything in life

couple choices.
ph turbo (why would u not want it?)
forced4 turbo
custom turbo setup.

and what makes you think that the stock 5speed is good to 410rwhp? they are rated at 330 flywheel torque.

with good tuning, it will be way more reliable than the x... But you should not be comparing to the x.... You are looking at a whole different ball game

The thing I like about what I hear about the X is that the power comes on instantly at even low RPM's making theHP and torque, though less than the other options more avaliable for every day driving. This is how I understand it to be. Please guys correct me if I'm wrong
