If I install it myself or find someone to help me install it... Don't I still need to go get an alignment?

You can get a front end alignment... but that's only like $30 bucks at discount tire/tire kingdom and that includes the bolts that Eibach will try and sell to you for $30.00...

alignment is essential
No it isn't. There are several that have lowered and not aligned the front end with no noticeable uneven or premature tire wear. Myself included. Going on 10K right now and the tires still look brand new. Though I did splurge and get better tires than most are willing to pay.

Stevens Creek mall?

Alignments are cheap so you might as well just do it just to save yourself from uneven tire wear. Just give the eibach springs about a week or so to settle to the car's weight before the alignment is done.
