RE: My car, looking to keep it classic with a roar
Thanks for the info. I have a program called Switch that I bought to convert "flac" files to "wav" files in order to burn CDs. Could I use the Switch program to convert to MP3 files? Do you know anything about setting up folders on an MP3 CD?

RE: My car, looking to keep it classic with a roar
Most people are in agreement with the first 3 biggest bangs for the buck regarding performance of the 4.0
1) Cold Air Intake/tuner combo - My personal choice would be to get in touch with B A M A, but there are others like VMP, Alternative Auto, Demolet, etc...
2) Aftermarket Exhaust - Even something as simple as GT takeoffs will free up HP. The stock 4.0 muffler is awfully restrictive and has to go.
2) T-lok/gears - Tlok will get rid of the peg-leg and put power to both wheels. Gears depends on what type of driving you do. 3.73's seem to be a good balance between being able to launch the car as well as maintain cruising speeds on the highway without having the rpms be up too high.
Hope that helps.

Ihardly have theproblems with the Shaker (just turned off twice and bad disc reads). I reported the TSB only so I could get a new one since they have the chrome trim now To make it sound better until I purchase a new deck, I added a Sony Xplode Amp and two 10s. All my cds are MP3 though and they play fine. It may be the burn disc you're buying...when I did have a problem, it was with the Maxwell cds. I stopped buying Audio cds and stick with just CD-R, they work the same for less $.

You also need to make sure you are burning to a disc formatted for MP3s. Once you do this, the Shaker display will tell you the name, artist and album of each song. For that feature alone, I'd rather burn to MP3 than CD. And the 150-200 songs per disc doesn't hurt either.

make sure its set as mp3 in itunes, because the default is aac, which will not work in the car.
a couple of the cds i burned in itunes dont have folders, but the others do (By artist) when i burnt it the same way....I hate itunes, its a useless thing

nice car!
for pc users, the way to get 150+ songs onto a CD-R is this...
1. insert blank cd
2. open blank cd file
3. drag and drop mp3 files into the blank cd file (make sure not to put more than 700MB on there! )
4. in the upper left hand corner, click "burn these files to cd" button
5.when it asks you what kind of cd you want to make, click the "data file" option
burn and enjoy!
