Default X pipe or H pipe for dual AT Flowmaster?

Hey guys, Im getting my duals put on my 2005 mustang V6 in two days. I was wondering about some opinions on whether I should get an X pipe or H pipe with my American Thunder Flowmasters. What are the advantages or disadvantages? Thanks in advance for any info.

I went for the H because I was going for that deeper and more muscle car like tone. The x pipe is just a bit raspier.

Thanks. I've seen your car on the forums before. You went with the Flow super 44 right? Let me ask you something. When you ordered your Flowmasters did it have the tips on there already or did you have to order them seperate? My shop is telling me it is seperate but everwhere I look they sell the 4" tips with the American thunders already on there.

I purchased my 4 in tips (flowmaster tips as well) separately. I got them from my muffler guy. I like the look of those tips esp with the cut out stock bumper.
Are you going to cut out your stock bumper or get a GT bumper?

I just put my GT bumper on yesterday. Kind of a pain but overall it wasn't that bad.

There's just a sound difference unless u go F/I. H pipegives a deeper sound. X is for more hp i think if u go f/i.

I running an X-pipe on mine, but others here are VERY happy with an H-pipe. If you are having your muffler shop fabricate the connection, it will be easier (i.e. cheaper) for them to make an H-pipe vs. an X-pipe, so you may want to consider the cost factor as well.

I had an X Pipe on my car with Dual American Thunders before I got the turbo. There are sound clips here of them and on my web site.

The X is actually better balanced and creates a better "draw out" of exhaust gasses
