Default V6 owners - Look

I bought this kit (http://www.blueovalindustries.com/pr...p?pid=99013004) for my 06 GT and my wifes 07 V6 Convt. I emailed the company after the fact because the ad mentions its for a GT only. They e-mailed back and said that kit would not work on a V6, well they were wrong, sort of. EVERYTHING fit except the OIL handle. I verified/compared all part numbers from my 06 GT to her 07 V6 and all numbers were the same. Well, onto the handle, I have included pics of how I made it work. Drill bit used was 1/16.

FYI: The first time we cleaned them, it took about2 hours. Now its about 15-30 minutes every Saturday morning and they stay remarkably clean this way. We also live in Texas (Far North Fort Worth, Keller actually)

I guess it's just because everytime I go to clean it, it's raining. Just need to get some time.

Just a note, in the winter Shelby Performance Parts catalog, They now have a set of the Scott Drake billet caps made specically for the 4.0L V6. It includes a different design on the oil handle, presumably to make installation easier on the 4.0L

Cover the air filter if you have an exposed one (CAI kit, etc) and then go at it with the hose.

I use Orange Blast degreaser on a cool engine. Let that sit for about 20 min, hose it off and let the water dry. Turns out great.

Personally I go under the hood with a wet rag and wipe down everything by hand. No reason to risk spraying anything you shouldn't. And I get to know my engine a lot better this way.
