Nope, the guys at the shop who installed it said the Pypes system fit like a glove. The only issues were getting the mufflers to hang right.

muffler shop tack welded my setup after installing the clamps that came with my kit. Looks to be holding up A-OK. you shouldnt have any problems now that your pipes have been tack welded.......i think .
Did you get the clamp from Pypes Performance? I'm telling you that clamp is not made very well. The way the pipes slip in is questionable as well as how thin the whole piece is. I definitely recommend using a Ford clamp to be on the safe side.
the clamp is from JBA. it doesnt look like yours. its a bent rod clamp.

I just returned from the muffler shop that installed my duals 3 months ago. The driver's side clamp at the x & mid-pipe was not tight even though the clamp was fully tightened. He tacked it in place, and repositioned the rear muffler. Best of all - no charge!

Sandy, it's kinda ironic since your clamp was an issue too. It's all good now!

its hard for me to understand how these clamps would be able to hold up alone without at least a tack weld anyways. its not like rubber or silicone couplings where the clamps can "squeeze" the soft material to a tight fit. i dont see how metal can be "squeezed" to a tight enough fit unless it was heated or something. If they slightly expand the pipes the clamp fits over, it helps with the holding problem.
Tacking also works but it might let little amounts of exhaust out around the poor fit.[:@]

I know considering it was 3 months ago that I had mine installed too......must havebeen the Moon phase or the Earth's alignment.

I'm glad you had yours checked. Perhaps this thread is a wake-up call to all those V6ers out there that have had duals installed.
