Depreciation?
we had a 06 vert v6 deluxe no bells or anything that i have, come into the shop. we repainted the rear bumper for a car lot deal.it had 17k miles on it and the price was at 21k. thats more than i payed for mine with the pony pack. so they cant be dropping that fast.
1 other thing, apparently it's FWD, and not many people looking for a mustang probably want FWD....[sm=smiley36.gif]

Probably not, especially since there is no such thing as a 2005 FWD mustang. This HAS to be a misprint on the sellers part, and I cant beleive anyone would actually beleive there is a FWD mustang.

I was looking into trading in for a GT last January, and they were only going to give me $14k. That's with the Pony Package and all the extras mine has. Apparently they only go by acution value, not KBB or anything else.
As you might imagine, I said 'f*ck that!'

Ive traded in a few vehicle and they most definitely go by kbb. They will try not giving you that much cause dealers are crooks. How could they go by auction. They dont know how much there goin to get for it at an auction until they get it there and sell it.
I was also told that if I were to trade in a vehicle that they dont give book value but rather auction price. The dealers go to auction many times a week so they can pretty much get to within a few hundred dollars of what a vehicle will bring at auction.
When I bought my stang (Aug 2006) I was getting rid of a 2001 Expedition with 53K miles on it (my vehicles always have way below average mileage...just the way it is for me) and in excellent condition withno accidents orbody work of any kind ever done on it. KBB on it was $11.5-12K if I remember right. The dealership wouldn't give me a dime over $10K so I told them no deal. They called me 3 days later to up their offer to $10.5K and I still said no. I listed it on autotrader.com and got $13.5K for it within 10 days so I rubbed their noses in it when I finally let them go do a dealer search again to find the car I wanted (the ones they'd found already were gone by the time I was ready to buy).
I don't think I've EVER traded in a vehicle to a dealership for another one....they ALWAYS try to screw you. It's more of a PITA to sell it yourself but what you make over what the stupid dealership gives you more than makes up for your trouble.
