Spare Tire weight kit
Hey guys i was trying to think about how to lose some weight off the stang by taking out the spare tire. Im not sure but i think i remember something about how the Shelbys dont have spare tires they have a kind of repair kit. I was wondering if anybody knew where i could get one of these or anything similar. Im not sure if its like fix a flat or what so input will help a lot. Thanks much guys

ya i here ya, just imagine the performance gains shaving a few hundred pounds. i cant bring myself to gutting the inerior though. just get a small pump you can plug into the power outlet, a can of slime and a plug kit. its not a permanent of a high speed repair but it will get you to a shop.

walmart sells all these components seperatly or any auto parts store will have them or will order them for you. if you want that OE type inflator check you salvage yards or go right to a new car dealerships parts department.

This is the exact unit included with the Shelbys: http://www.tirerack.com/accessories/...tkit/index.jsp
It's also available from Ford Racing for about $225 (the Ford version does include a styrofoam tray for placing it in the tire well....that's some pricey styrofoam....)
If you must have the tray too, I believe as a Ford service part it's available by itself for like $45, so you'd still be better off getting the Continental kit seperately.
