my shop messed up AGAIN!!!
Well i was supposed t get it when i got home from school today, expecting to get home and go drive it, i walk up the drive way and its not there, it ruined my day:[ Anyways the shop put in 3.73, when they special ordered the 4.10's for my car they still put in 3.73. but it will be done tommrow and i get it when i get out of sschool, tomorrow will be the longest day of my life:[

How was the mistake discovered?
Did they count driveshaft rotations to wheel rotations?
Seems if they did not know or could not tell 3.73s from
4.10s before install how did they discover the mistake
after installation? Paperwork mistake in the front office
not noticed by you until it was time to pay?

Well they called me and said that the car was done, so i said ok can you go over the price? So he started naming,ok we put in the tlok 3.73 gears and diablo tuner. So thats when I said to him that that wasnt what i ordered for them to do, so he went back to the first order form and saw the 4.10 gear order, and the gears were still in the ford racing box that they got in that morning. So they took out the tlok and gears and put in the 4.10's , dyno tuned it again, and then called me and said it was done but that they might not be able to get it to us till the next day. Thats when i told them for all the mix up the least you could do is bring the car to me, So they did.
but i really dont think they will ever get my buisness again.

rear end and counting the driveshaft to wheel rotation ratio?
Is your speedo displaying the correct speed?
They could still be jacking you around and left the 3.73s
in there because of the labor involved to fix their FU.

jack up rear end onboth sidesand support on jack stands
position both wheels with the valve stems up at 12 o clock
mark driveshaft with pen
have helper turn one wheel one rev while you turn the other
wheel one rev same direction
have another helper count the revs of the driveshaft
3.73 revs =s 3.73 gears 4.10 revs =s 4.10 gears
