This sounds an awfully lot like the TSB for the bad fuel pump. Mine does this about once or twice every 3 or 4 months. It happens after a semi long cruse at constant speeds of 70-80 and then you come to as stop and get on it a bit and the motor cuts out for a second and then goes as expected. I've taken it in but it's so random Ford couldn't reproduce it and therefor will not fix it for me.

This happens weather I've been driving a couple of hours or just a few minutes.

"she" has to talk to my husband.
But seriously, I don't know if I want to mod. I might be selling next year for '08 or '09.
I haven't been able to get a good test on flooring it lately.Have hadthe kid's in the car.
But I suspect that will change this weekend.

Could it be throttle lag...? Is your car stick or automatic?

This happens to me every now and again, and it's NOT TCS in my case, I turn that shiznit off out of habit. The other day I went to leave a parking lot and pressed the pedal and nothing happened right away, but didn't notice it til i squealed the tires as I lunged forwards like 3 times. and no, i don't have an unsteady foot. I think our throttle bodies are unresponsive sometimes, as if the translation from "pedal being pushed down" to "opening up the throttle body" gets hung up somewhere along the line. I think that if I replaced it with a Zabteck TB that I wouldn't have the problem anymore, but that's just a baseless hunch on my part.

Only time it does that with me is if I gun it on a rough/uneven road with bumps and such or when there is loose gravel. As JimC decribed it sounds more like "throttle lag" in this case... Or fuel pump but, I dont know much about that.

i guess its on the 07+ models only?
I have an '07 without the traction control. I didn't want it because I knew the car would not be driven in the rain or snow. In 2007, it was an option for more $$.
