But seriously, Mrt ispretty ricey in the higher rpm's imo............louder than that I guess would be ..... SLP's.......... or customize your exhaust and make straight pipes with 3 or 4 " tips.

I know one person has tried them.......they're pretty much just straight through..........they sound fine........but like most mufflers I bet they get high pitched in the top end.

A resonator(s) eliminates the drone almost completely. It's still a little loud inside.. but there is no drone.
I think dual MACs would sound mean as hell.

try to imagine a continuous bass tone from your speakers. no beat, just one continuous everlasting tone. might seem fine at first but it can get pretty damn annoying after awhile.

I got the pypes dual x pipe with street pros. IMO best sounding muffler, however there is some drone (dont notice it anymore, especially since i always have the radio on and windows open
. they are also very loud in comparison to how fast you are going....many times I'm just accelerating up to the speed limit 35, and people are like doing the slow down hand motion from the side of the road, it really annoys me. Another time I actually got in a fight with some guy over it. I was on a windy road and it was like 30on the speed and i was doing like 35 around the turns in second (gotta have the torque up the hill) and i came around a turn and saw people crossing the street no joke, 100 yards away, and stopped 200 feet before them. This guy stares me down and runs at the car with fishing poles in his hands basically pointing them in my face, and hes like why are you driving like an idiot ablahblabhla. I just okayed him and left, but other than the amazing noise, these just seem to pi$$ people off too much, and draw a lot of unwanted attention.

Never had the negative vibes you're getting.
Only POSITIVE comments (even one from a friendly State Trooper).
At low speed these have a VERY DEEP bass sound like a V8 which continues right up to 2500 RPM (with light / moderate pedal).

It may also just be the fact that you live in NY.
