ready to add more power to 'ol fred.(c&l/tuner combo)have it narrowed down between vmp and brenspeed.have read alot on both people( great customer service).one is $50 more expensive and wanted to know if the difference is worth it.i've read one has pinging issues i just need feed back of what your experiance with each tuner is and if one has advantage over other. fred is a 2006 auto pony pkg,auto trans with dual exhaust (with h pipe and gt muffers)

No issues with the VMP. It has performed well since day one, and Justin is very reaponsive, customer care is great!

 

I am about to make that jump also, and several local guys here are all telling me to go with the C&L CAI from Brenspeed, but I know alot of people say VMP also. Hard decision, but both quality products from what I have read.

 

you cant go wrong with either id choose the one closest to you

I went with the C&L with tunes from Brenspeed, very satisfied. Responded within 24 hours to questions. What really made me go with them was that they helped me with concernsbefore I even bought anything..

 

thanks for the info guys.been e-mailing back and forth with justin all day he was very quick and informative with me. so i just placed my order from vmp for the C&L/X2 combo.( i ordered 87 perf 89 perf and 93 perf tunes)
now i cant wait to see how fred runs
wife informed my that is my christmas gift. but i hinted to her all fred needs now is gears
but i guess the wifes birthday is coming up (wonder if she'd like a set of gears for the stang?)

I have tunes from VMP and Bama, 89 perf and91 perf from VMP, and the 91 Torque from Bama,both loaded onto the SCT Xcal2.

I HIGHLY recommend Bama, I'd have gone with Bama originally after feeling the power in the torque tune, I'm gonna order the Race tune in a month or so.
