Default Ford hesitation

I was reading the Nov. issue of motor magazine and came across this article . I thought it may be useful to share this info. just in case anyone has had this problem and FWIW.

FORD HESITATION ON ACCELERATION :
Some 2005 -2006 mustangs may hesitate on acceleration, but only after a long sustained cruise on the highway. According to Ford the strange condition is most likely the result of air bubbles forming around the fuel pump module while in the cruising mode .Once the car is off the open road the air bubbles then break loose and get ingested by the fuel pump. The combination of air and fuel in the pump then makes it's way to the injectors, which causes the hesitation issue. Installing a new- design fuel pump module (part no. 7R3Z9H307-C ) should eliminate the bubble formation and take care of the drive ability problem immediately.

Ya exactly, ford f up! What a suprise they wont recall it! Is this the hesitation you feel when your given it some pretty good amount of gas and it is revving really low and then finally jumps up and goes? Cause i noticed that with and without my tuner and all the mods?

Sometimes when I'm in first or second gear and and am slowing down to between 5 and 15 mph and then I just tip in to the throttle I notice a slight hesitation. I agree about the recall .I was wondering about that also

Most people are blaming auto lag on this. This is different.

There has been a TSB and a fix for this for some time.

I had my 06 in the service department 4 times and all I got is that we do not duplicate the issue. Finallly I found the TSB and printed it out. Then they fixed it. And it has been fine ever since.

i noticed this also but didnt think much of it. i assumed it was the conservative factory tune. my torq tune either helped eliminate it or just does a better job of hiding it. should i take it to the dealership anyway to get it serviced? And, will i need to take them a printout of the TSB also?

TSB 06-9-9 for 05/06 Mustangs has been out since 04/28/06. My 05 has no such problem.
