Default INJEN CAI

I just saw this today and wondered if it would be a good alternative to C&L....with a tune from BAMA it might be a better CAI.

Product is MMR CAI

notice how it has more room shielded from the engine.

actually, it looks like a flashier alternative to the K&N Generation II FIPK® Intake. although the pipe has soft smooth curves which gives the incoming air a less restrictive path, notice where the MAF sensor goes. the pipe gets much smaller in that section (factory diameter) which is the reason no tune is needed (MR technology is what injen calls it). nevertheless, it looks like a very effecient design with a very nice appearance but i still think you will get more out of a c&l or demolet. the price is also a little steep.

Injen is a good brand, not used much for domestic cars, but regardless is a good brand.

That injen looks very nice!I also like the way it the shield appears to completely cut the cai off from the engine heat.

Thanks for the correction sancho....I kinda wondered why they restricted the tubes right in the middle beacuse the pipes had a very good diameter on it. INJEN says that at this time they only have it for the 05-06 and is waiting to release the 07. I agree about the price being steep but I really want toput it to the tests against C&L since thats what Im thinking about getting....Ill do more research on it and will post what I eventually find.

I have this intake. I am EXTREMELY happy with it. Keep in mind I don't really have a point of reference to compare it to, but I do know that it makes me smile when I punch it. I have that intake with Magnaflow duals and the car sounds like a monster. In the higher RPMs you can really hear it breathe while its growling. Nice. I'm running it with no tune right now, once I get a tune on it, I can't imagine how happy it will make me

I'd take some pictures, but its about -50 degrees out here in Jersey right now. In any case it looks just like that picture, nice big heat shield keeps it isolated from the rest of the engine bay.

heres my baby anyway, since I'm new to posting here.
