ORIGINAL: powerband

Cool. I will get one installed tomorrow afternoon.
Probably a Borla catback.
But I also like the Flowmaster AT, even though some have said its gut is crappy quality.
Mostly likely the Borla, then.

Thanks!
I've had my single Flowmaster AT on for about a year now, and it's been fine so far in terms of sound quality. I'm very happy with how it sounds for a single, but I'm switching it out this spring for dual Borla Stingers, so I'll never know how long the Flowmaster will last, but I've heard a lot about it having crappy internals too.

The Borla mufflers are well known for being excellent quality (all stainless steel and everything) and are backed by a really good warrenty, and in videos as far as I can tell they sound good, so that's a good choice if you don't mind spending the extra cash up front.

With either of those mufflers it sounds like you'll be making a good choice, so good luck!

I just got the Borla installed.
Dang. It sounds goooood.
Outside it sounds like the V6 actually has presence and substance.
Inside it sounds like you're driving within the gut of a dragon.
Not pretentious: it's a gut-roar of a proud V6, but not trying to be the monstrous V8.
Deep tone from low to high RPMs, and no drone during cruising at any RPM or during deceleration.

The Borla (maker of Ford Racing muffler) and installation came to a total of -- get this -- $300.
I got it from a local specialized muffler shop, which does custom work.
If you live in the San Francisco Bay Area, I strongly recommend CAMINO MUFFLER in Sunnyvale.
Carlo Musngi is the muffler guy and he's talented. He'll put a f*cking muffler on King Kong.
The guys at CAMINO MUFFLER are salt of the earth. The service is very friendly. Family owned.
I will bring them beer this weekend, they're so cool.

And wouldn't you know it -- I forgot my damn camera. [&o]

I believe in the old adage... break'em in like you're going to drive them! HARD!!!
