Traction Control

Traction Control
I was reading one of the stickys up top. It talked about traction control and how it worked. I was just wondering, I know some have to have it, but how can you tell if you have it. I dont believe my car does. I love to do burnouts and things and it kinda worries me that I could be possible ruining my breakpads

RE: Traction Control
You have a set of controls at the top. There should be a button to the left of your hazards that says "TCS" with an "off" sort of curved to the side. If that button is blank, then you don't have TCS/ABS.
Also, with TCS ON you can't do burnouts.

RE: Traction Control
I love my traction control in the snow, its actually saved me a few times when I decided hitting the gas while turning through snowy intersections was a good idea[>:]
It doesn't lock up the breaks or anything, and its hard to explain the feeling that you get when you do start to slide and it kicks in, but its very re-assuring for when I'm forced to take the car out on the snow.
So no, definately doesn't make the spinout worse, definately keeps the spinout from happening.
Side note, I always drive with it on, but when I want to accel hard from a light, I hit the button to turn it off....when I do, I feel like I'm hitting the "NAWS" button[8D]

RE: Traction Control
Ok then I dont have it, didnt think I did. As for snow driving I have drove mine in up to a few inches several times. It does absoulty great compared to my truck. You just gotta take it slower than normal and keep an even throtle.
