full exhaust, intake and i believe the stage 2 kit comes with new pulley, belt for higher psi, and better fuel injectors. ive read that they put down somewhere in the 245hp range

241hp and 218tq 2806lb curb weight Youmight take him from a dig but I'm not sureyou would get him from a roll. probably has the potential to get ugly quick though if it can launch

and they are supposedly very underrated

Huh? You think this will take an XCharged V6 putting out 270 RWHP and 280+ RWT? Or are you comparing to a stock V6? His question was XCharged Mustang vs. Colbalt. I think the XCharged Mustang will have no problem taking it.

I'm making the right comparison and I still think in a straight drag race the x-stang wins as well as looks but your looking at a huge weight difference. With a skilled driver and those numbers that cobalt could be dangerously quick and if the mustang has a bad launch the cobalt might suprise you.
From a roll I know that cobalt ss/sc are rev happy and supposedly quick so I'm saying I'm not sure but its possible that at that lower tq and hp the weight difference (around 500lbs) could make it very close.

OP post this in the street/strip section and hopefully member IWHINE will see this. He has a Cobalt SS/SC and should be able to tell you better than I could.

the stage 2 cobalt s/c puts down around 250whp to the xchargers 270-280+ but you also have to consider the weight diff. i think it might be a drivers race...but a good race nonethe less

The Cobalt probably makes it's torque at 4500 RPM, right? That should give the X a big advantage.
