I guess they are ricey but those videos are at WOT...
they are pretty quiet with a mild rumble at normal driving speeds

Before I had Flowmasters 40 series Deltaflow and they were just not livable.. ear bleeding interior

plan on using these and save up for some CORSAs
apparently they are the only exhaust I read that really give you that performance sound without drone.

Some peoples' definition of "ricey-sounding" must be anything that is not a V8.

Does it sound as good as a V8? No. But that doesn't mean it sounds ricey--that's a pretty derogatory term. So basicallyyou'regrouping the sound of a V6 with GT-takeoffs in the same category as a Honda Civic with a 5" tipped fart bazooka?

I don't understand the labeling of "rice."
It sounds like an aggressive V6.
In fact, it sounds more aggressive than my buddy's 04 BMW M3 with quad Borlas.
It's funny how many people bought a V6 and want it to imitate a V8.

Ever heard a stock VW R32 accelerating?
It sounds almost as aggressive as project85's GT Takeoffs.
No one on the VWVortex forums would call the exhaust note of the R32 "rice."
It's an F'n V6.

And certainly no one on the BMW forums call my buddy's M3 exhaust note "rice."

yes, because all of us with 4.0 and duals are trying to imitate a V8, its not that we just want a nice sounding exhaust, couldnt be..could it?

Fallout, that's not the point I was making.
I don't understand the accusation of "rice," when the exhaust clearly sounds like a great and aggressive V6.
I want my exhaust to sound nice, too, like everyone here.
But I have no illusion that it will sound like a V8.
And if it doesn't, it seems many people will automatically label any sound dissimilar to a V8 as rice.

Yah, that's rice alright! But it's a 4 banger, not a V6.
I didnt' mean to start a fart war here regarding my comment about those GT takeoff's sounding ricey. I realize that at WOT that a V6 will sound like a V6 regardless of what one does with their exhaust system.
Mine certainly does sound like an aggressive V6 at WOT and at all other throttle positions. No riceyness whatsoever in any case with my X-pipe system and the flow's. No drone either. I repeat, NO drone!
With that said, I certainly didn't mean to infir that your pony sounds like a stinkin ricey 4 banger. I hate that sound! ppppppppppppppuuuutttthhh! Geesh! Makes my teeth hurt!
I guess I should have said I don't like the exhaust note the GT takeoffs make but I am sure I would appreciate how quiet they are in my cab whilst crusing down the road. My Flowmasters don't bother me at all.

I had a set of street-pro's on it at first as they came with the exhaust system kit. Wow! Talk about ear hurtin headache makin drone! Glad I got rid of those mugs!

Regarding someone'sinferance that others are trying to immitate a V8. Maybe some are but I'm not. I got the pony package and 4.0 because I love Ford's V6's! If I could have gotten a V8 with pony package, I would have stuck with the 4.0. I don't like the 4.6 liter, never have, never will. If however they had a pony package with a 5.0,,,,oh shee-it!
