Anybody have a throttle body spacer?
I was thinking about getting a throttle body spacer and was wondering if anybody had an recommendations. I was looking at the airaid because it looks like the best deal. Do you guys think throttle body spacers are worth the money? Also, does it give a noticeable increase in hp and torque? Thanks for the help.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! DONT DO IT!!! WASTE OF MONEY!!! COMPLETELY!!! air is no able to be codensed any more than it is unless you can catch it and force it in a sealed container. the spiriling effect they claim makes no sense/difference. its a complete waste of money. the only thing that can condense air is a lower temperature or some type of f/i or a more dense gas of some other type (n2o2 aka. nitrousoxide) if you study the science behind its you'll realize that these are complete wastes. you would be better off saving for a cai and tune. or f/i. or something. just dont buy one of these.

How much do those things run... Because they actually are pretty worthless but hey look how much money that guy who invented is making. The idea was possibly derived from carb spacers which actually do something. I took a 750 proform carb off and put a 1" wilson spacer with a 650cfm carb on and it gained power and the throttle response was so much better it wasn't even funny. But I also took that carb spacer to the flow bench where it took the swirl rpm from 3000 to about 30 and only reduced cfm flow by like 5. So in essence if you have a carb vehicle it may be neccesary in some circumstances. On a throttle body, well every application is different. On some apps it does gain power. But not a worth while investment if you are paying 100$ for it.

Ah the old days,,, when performing a tune meant you just twisted the distributor cap and tweaked a couple screws on the carb.
Things have change just a bit.
