From the mouth of a v8'er
He was walking out of the store, I was walking in, it was all but empty so I figured he had to be the owner of a stupid hot
black 2006 Mustang GT, shaker hood, chin spoiler...the works. Conversation went like this:
Me: Is that your Mustang?
Him: Yes it is....
Me: Well done, it's beautiful
Him: Thanks
Me: Is that a shaker hood?
Him: Yes, I did that after I bought it
Me: Simply a beautiful car dude...
Him: Thanks
Me: I've got a 2005 Black V-6'er, I love that car but sometimes wish I had bought the GT
for the dual exhaust, my color dash, extra ponies....
Him: I drove a lot of Mustangs, I didn't really see much of a difference between the V-6 and V-8, they are both great cars.
Me: That they are...Have a good one...
Then he lit em up as he left the place.....Well done! My point to this pointless conversation is simply this, there are a lot of cool people driving these cars, v-6, v-8, no one really cares unless your racing, and if your racing then of course you should go big, but if you just fell in love with the timelessness of these cars, then your good in my (and most everyone else's) book!

He was like many who just enjoy the design lines of the car. He obviously didn't care what the power plant was since he said he couldn't tell much difference between the two. I think he was being kind. Just a true Mustang lover.

I'm a GT guy because thats what I like. But I certainly don't look down on V6ers. When someone asks what should I buy, a V6 or a V8? I always recommend the V8. If its not a monitary issue and if your not a point A to point B driver than I think you will be happier with a V8.
But don't put the all the blame on V8ers for these typical conflicts, its not just a one way street, there're a lot of negative comments from the V6ers side as well. Its really quite childish to get into battles over this issue.
