Well are you for sure you are getting F/I?
That all depends on my wife haha

Actually I am going N/A for now... until I see what type of performance gain I get and how much I like it. If I am still not satisfied I will go F/I.

My car is still my DD, so all the lightweight reduction stuff is not needed. I want good, fun performance with an occasional trip to the strip.

It dont' matter if he has an intercooler or not with the 8.8! and it depends what kind of F/I he is getting. If you plan on drag racing at the track then get an 8.8 but if you plan on street racing or whatever your 7.5 should hold up fine. My gears and tlok only cost me around 600. Just depends on your available funds and what you plan on doing with your car.

P.S forget the lightweight rims, underdrive pulley, and sway bar delete, unless you are a serious drag racer and have another car. If you go F/I don't get the pulley cause it will be useless.

Yeah that's what I thought

You will probably go F/I unless you are happy with just bolt ons but I wasn't! haha I love my boosted 6, Boosted 8 would be awesome but I love my car!!! haha

Well I already have new rims so that won't change, and I will go to the track. If I do go F/I it will probably be an X-charger unless I go crazy and get a shaker/vortech.

Plus I have an auto.. so you think my 7.5 will hold up just fine?

Fine for the street, especially with the stock torque/stall converter the 7.5 is fine. At the strip, if your launching hard with drag radials then it's a different story. You could alwaysput a girdle on the 7.5to beefit up.

Yeah I have a H/O vortechand I am doing just fine. It will become a problem if you do some serious launches on some drag radials butyou will be fine. Even if you do ever break the 7.5 which I don't think that you will, you can always get some takeoff 8.8 that already has the tlok and gears that you want easy. But ur 7.5 will be just fine IMO. Fazm had his 7.5 with 400rwhp and 420tq or something and he had it for a while. With the x or even the vortech you will have to ugrade more than the rear end to get that kind of power. But if you go turbo Fazm would be one one to talk to.

If your thinking turbo, no question I would say get an 8.8. All that torque and you will need an 8.8. Looking for max power out of an intercooled x or vortech get heads/supercharger cam and/or meth injection. Easy gains of 25rwhp onf/i set-ups with meth and heads and cam you could see 400rwhp on an intercooled roots or centri with theright supporting mods.

My advice, test drive a gt. If you feel that you'll be happy with that hp or a little less, bolt-ons will do. If not, save your money for f/i and the minimum you need mod wise is a dyno tune and t-lok for it to work fine. You really don't need gears/driveshaft/or anything else for it to run perfect.

Good Luckwith those mods!

I say CAI/Tune.
Already getting a C&L CAI / Brenspeed tune... what else other than that?
Well, if you're planning to go FI in the near future, you might as well upgrade your rear end... but if that's something you don't plan on doing for a while, then I'd upgrade the suspension -springs, sways, LCA and all that good stuff-
