Default The Mod Bug is Back!

So naturally after the really rough winter we had here in Chicago, and might I add it's still going strong, my car has spent much time locked away in the garage waiting out the cold...

However, I just had 5 brown boxes droped off at my house which include the following:

Four 18x9 Chrome Deep Dish Bullitts from American Muscle
Four Tri-Bar Pony Center Caps
One kit of Dupli-Color Brake Caliper Paint (Red)
And a lone black shorty antenna, which I just installed.

Now the later stuff is small I know, however my new wheels I'm soooooo pumped to get on the car. They are going to be wrapped in Goodyear Eagle F1 UHP All Season Tires, in size 255/45-18, which makes me even more stoked.

I also am in the process of negotiating a price on having my duals converted to true duals with either an H or X pipe.

I have just three questions. One, for replacing the center caps, do I have to do that while the wheels are off the car, or can I pry the cap off while they are on. Also how should I go about getting the cap off, I don't want to scratch anything.

Two, anyone who has ordered bullitts from American muscle, I totally neglected to check and see if I need a new set of lug nuts, do I?

Three, anyone who has painted their calipers, whats the best way to do it, and again should the wheels be off or can I do it with them on?

Now all I need is spring and a nice car wash and I'm good to go!

Jeez, 48 views and no replys.

Anyways, the real reason for bumping this is that I still need answers to those couple of questions. Any help would be great.

Very nice, I think i will always have the mod bug until I have everything available for our cars

And the best way to paint the calipers is jack it up, take off the wheels, clean the calipers, then paint, but dont drive the car for a while after you paint them. I dont know how you would paint them with the wheels on, it would be tough.

We are probably all on a first name basis with our UPS-Ground girl/guy at this point. (mine is a cute little brunette girl.....Karen) Brown boxes ROCK. Calipers are best done with wheels off. Did you get the Duplicolor kit?....Ebay?
Look into posting your take-off wheels, and maybe your tires on E-bay (if they have good tread) people ARE buying them from what I have seen. Do some nice tread pics with a ruler or tread-depth gage, $400.00/ ???? for 4 mint wheels and tires?? buyer pays S/H.....I bet they would fly.--Just a thought.

Post pics of your new mobs when you get them on. Glad you are as happy as me to get brown boxes. What length antennae did you go with?

Your stock lugs will be fine.

Yeah, I don't exactly know his name but he always asks the same questions when he delivers, "So Snowboard gear or new parts for that Mustang that graces me with its presence in the driveway every couple of months." He's a nice guy, haha.

Anyways I got the kit from American Muscle. My tires have absolutely NO tread left on em, they have almost 30k miles on em. I plan on selling the stock rims in a set of four, they are in mint condition, what do you sugest I put it up for. I also have two GT take off mufflers.

I went with an 8 inch black shorty antenna, pretty sleek lookin compared to that huge thing that was on there. This was a case of smaller being better than larger, haha.

Thanks for the info everyone.
