They flow a lot more air and create less back pressure, only worth the money if going blown.

Ok I have the whole set up and with the header it don't sound that much different. When you rev it you can hear a crackling sound whatever that is and WOT it really screams but as far as a v8 sound.......um not so much. I didn't get JBA for the sound I got it for the performance, which is probably one of the best if not the best performing exhaust system you can get. If you want a lower tone get magnaflow or somthing like that. At idle it is a lower tone but no v8 and deffinately not at WOT!! not even close!!

O and I am telling you this stuff because I do have a blower and the entire system so I kinda know what I am hearing. hey I drive the thing every single day!!!

did you have the headers when your car was still N/A? i'm wondering how much the higher pitch of F/I affects the sound. just curious.

Um no actually I didn't. So I mean it might sound better at WOT with n/a but I wouldn't count on it. Cause there would be a lot less air moving through at that given time.

i guess i just assumed less air meant a lower tone, obviously lacking the performance of F/I but still producing a nice tone. I believe it was Wickerbill that stated he heard a N/A stang with jba duals and shorties. He said it was the best sounding N/A setup on a sixer that he's heard. either way, its on my mod list but I think I will get an aluminum DS before the headers.

Yeah i definately would get the ds before headers!!! But for me with my exhaust set up I didn't care for sound. If I wanted v8 sound I would have got a v8. Not saying these don't sound good, but I think that they are the better performing ones out there. I have heard quite a few that sound better than mine.[&:]

yup, not on a quest for V8 rumble myself, just a nice little bump in performanceand sound. DS first for sure. shaftmasters has a great deal on the 4" and it includes free shipping also i think. hard to beat that.
