Default Ordered Tuner

question........i ordered the tuner/vmp package deal from v6mustang.com ...my question is.. will it tell me how to tune my car? the xcal2 itself, will it be easy? or do i have to take it to a mustang place and pay 100 bucks for them to do it then hang myself?

Yes, the VMP package comes with instructions on how to upload the tune.
It's really easy, you plug it in, press select, turn key to on (don't crank), scroll to "Load Tune", press select, scroll to the tune you want, press select, then upload it. It takes about 2-3 minutes to upload, then when it is finished press select, turn the key to off, press select then unplug.

YES, plug it in and follow the instructions as they come up on the Xcals screen. If you do have any problems, call Justin and I'm sure he will walk you though the installation. I have personally met him twice and he is committed to customer satisfaction. You will love what the Xcal and Vmps power package will do for your car. Good luck and have fun.

Yeah it's cool dude, I have the MAF housing and the CAI, it works well, and yes when you accelerate you can hear the intake sucking in. It's a cool sound.
I hope you chose the tunes for the proper octane in your area though, if you have 93 octane that's cool...Just hope you don't only have 91 octane in your area, and the tuner has tunes for 93 octane.

Btw man, take that pic of the wrecked stang off your sig...It's quite blasphemous and rather saddening every time I see it.

Your tuner will more than likely come with a 87 octane performance and fuel economy tune and a 93 performance tune. When I got my v6 set up that is what I got. When I got my v8 I went back to Justin and got a new tune and CAI from him for it.

Well it will come with the 3 tunes you ordered. The actual xcal2 does not come with any tunes. It's very easy to use as the other guys said. It gets plugged in under the dash below to headlight switch. It will first upload your stock tune so you are able to return the car back to stock if needed.
