FYI the 05 and up PCM keeps a flash count so ford can see if you have jacked with the PCM.Trust me on this.So be nice to the service department,They can use this to void a warranty.

FYI the 05 and up PCM keeps a flash count so ford can see if you have jacked with the PCM.Trust me on this.So be nice to the service department,They can use this to void a warranty.
Yes however I don't believe they can read if you loaded any other tunes in there, only if the car has been reset, such as the battery being disconnected then reconnected etc...

PCM reset and PCM flash countare two different things.
Flash count is stored in non-volatile memory uneffected
by battery disconnect PCM reset. Tune users are in for
a very big suprise some day.

Yes, they do it. It is simple for them to makw a quick notation associated with the VIN. It follows the car for the rest of it's life or at least until it is out of warranty.

That's interesting, I have not heard this before. People keep saying otherwise, but yes with the technology available today, I would think this is true.
Well, either way, I wonder how often they actually take the time to go through the hoops to find all this out.
