RE: shaker hood question
If you go with the hood scoop, you can't go back to the Shaker later.
The scoop holes are widerthan the Shaker hole, so some holes will show unfortunatly.
Think this one through...
If you really like the Shaker look, then don't compromise with a dumb hood scoop.
Get what you want.
Got your PM BTW.
Is it a CDC shaker? That's what I have. If not, you're on your own for the engeneering[&:].
Good luck man.

RE: shaker hood question
OK, here are some pix...
I also shaved the thins on the top off the intake, so the shaker scoop doesn't sit too high.
You have to take every bit of it too.
Also, I relocated the dipstick outward, by the shock tower, so you can access it. Sorry, no pics of any of this.
For the oil filler neck, I used the GT one, cut it in a half and reindexed it with a gluedPCV pipe from Home Depot, in between the 2 halves. Tricky man[8D].
Oh, I made an opening (see on the one pic) and put a gromet for looks, where some vaccum lines were in the way.
Those kept me from having the Shaker low enough (and the coils of course).
It looks greta now, but it was a job. I've seen people shaving the engine cover all together, right around the Mustang Logos...
If you do this, it sould simplify that mod.
