Default Smoke Em'

So, here's my thing and a sign of my limited knowledge of the mechanics of my mustang. I can smoke my "tire"...but not my "tires". Not a huge issue but has been nagging at the back of my brain for a while now....why won't they both spin? And what do I need to do to remedy that? Now I do have plans of buying a 8.8 rear with 3.73's and the flange already installed ( not that I know how to actually do the swap) so anyone with info on how to cure my ocd would be appreciated.

May seem obvious, but I'll ask anyway: Do you have Traction Control on your car?

Not to my knowledge...but then my knowledge is pretty limited. If I did where would I find its off button?

The stock 4.0 V6 has an open differential. You are essentially peg-legged. Get a tlok installed in your 7.5 rear, or upgrade to the 8.8 rear which already comes with it.

power is only going to one wheel. you need a limted slip differential or a 't-lok'.

If you did have Traction Control, then there would be a button on yourcenter console above the radiothat would say "TCS Off," or something like that. If you don't have that button, which I'm assuming you don't, because if you did it'd be pretty easy to spot, then you probably don't have Traction Control either. So I'm guessing that's not the issue...

what are your future mods? any kind of major power upgrades or forced induction? if you just want to do 2 wheel burnouts you dont need the 8.8.

get gears if youre getting a t-lok though. easy to change them both at the same time.
