Default Transmission problems.....

I just recently purchase this mustang and didnt notice it before but I do now. In order to shift from 1st to 2nd I have to ease it in. I cant just shift fast and I am not sure if it is the clutch or maybe a synchro. It also does it in 3rd but not as bad. I am not experiencing any slipping in the clutch as of now. Called ford and they say it might be the clutch, but they would need to take a look at it first, another 80 bucks just to 'look' at it. Anyway, any ideas or similar problems out there?????

Oh yeah, just in case, I have a 2006 v6 with 21k on it. Do not know the history of the owner prior to me. Who knows how they drove it.

$80 to look at something that might be covered under warranty?
Make sure they don't leave the crack pipe near the flammable oil drums.

I took my car in to listen to a whine in the tranny. They did not charge me a nickle.

My 1st and 2nd gear on my '07 have always been very stiff. I have to really yank it down into 2nd. I think it's mostly a product of the Scheiss T5 transmission that was better suited for a minivan than a Mustang.
