Default mrt drone

how bad is the mrt drone in the car?? is it so loud that you have to raise your voice a little to have a conversation with the person next to you and is it really only on the highways because i might go on the highway like 4 times a month????

It's pretty bad until the muffler breaks in, at 2500 rpm or so.
I don't hit the drone rpm on the highway until about 75-80 and by then the road noise is louder than it.

Think i'm gonna sell mine and get FRPP duals next month, having just one pipe on the back is starting to bug me [8D]

I also have a MRT and dont think it to bad. It gets better when it breaks in. If i would pick another muffler i would really go for the Single Borla http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C7K3umsPKAMit sound even better methinks. I would like Borla stingers http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KXA_BpuSpKAbut thats more money.

From about 75-80 you will have to speak up. I posted a more detailed response on the single exhaust thread in reply to your question you posted there. By the way I drive about 40 min a day on the highway and dont have a problem. I tend to keep it close to 70 mph though traveling back and forth to work. The cops patroll the heck out that stretch of highway I have to drive. Unless you plan on driveing 73-80 a lot or have sensitive hearing dont worry about the drone. Just crank up the stereo.

I loved mine... I didn't do that much highway driving, but when I did I had a blast with it. It was great to cruise with the windows down in the countryside and just listening to it purr when you got on it.

*COUGH* Read my sig...
