Default GT H-pipe on my 4.0?

So I buy a couple of GT Take-offs with the rolled tips and I'm excited to get them installed. I find someone to cut my rear bumper 'cuz I don't want (or like) the GT rear valance and the shop installs my duals. I get a call saying they have to order a part and the car won't be ready til the next day. Bummer right? That's okay though, b/c I'm finally getting duals. I pick up the car and while the exhaust looks great, the cut on the rear valance looks horrible. I drive home and the car sounds really raspy. I get it home and put it up on jacks/stands to see the handiwork and wow....to my surprise they went "true duals" or ran straight pipes from the cats back to the mufflers. What happened to my H-pipe and what did I pay $200 for?

I plan to go back tomorrow first thing and try to work this out but here's my questions...

1) will running straight pipes from the factory cats back to the mufflers without any crossover hurt my car?
2) will an H-pipe off a GT (I have an 07 V6) work on my current setup?

Any and all advice will be greatly appreciated!! Thanks!

Yes a GT H-Pipe will work just fine, I have it on my car. Do a search and you'll find a couple threads already going over this.

Having true duals will not hurt the car. I had true duals for about a year with no issues. I put an H-pipe on last week, and it definitely improved the sound.
