Dual Exhaust Problem, anyone else have it?(UPDATE)

I doubt your dual exhaust system is the reason for the problem. Your cats are still in place so you really don't have a loss of back pressure. I think the problem is someplace else. Maybe your engine is running rich and there is unburnt fuel fouling the o2 sensors. A tune won't do anything for you because a tune only shuts off the rear o2 sensors which are after the cats.

I agree with Silver Vert 06 the root of this problem is likely elsewhere. If you have a code reader see if the same one is flagged as bad again. If so try swapping it with the opposite side and see if the problem follows the sensor or stays with the same side of the exhaust. I suppose you could end up with two bad sensors that way so keep that in mind. First though you may want to test the O2 sensors with a volt meter to see if it is actually still good. I believe the big maint manual has the test procedure. I googled it and came up with a list of promising results.Check this one to start, it looks pretty informative.

RE: Dual Exhaust Problem, anyone else have it?
Ok, makes me feel a little better that my exhaust may not be causing this, but nervous because it could be a bigger problem. One thing I have noticed is that since my check engine light came on, I am getting WAY better gas mileage. I mean way better, like 4mpg better, it isn't even close. I have not changed my driving habits either, so the only thing I could think of is that the engine is running to lean??? I am at a total loss. I guess I will have to take it back to the dealership next week and see what they can figure out.

jakecat22 it could be that the 02 sensor Ford installed may have beena defective one. I had a problem with my emissions light coming on in my E-350. Ford was trying to tell me it was the gas cap not on right, but the light kept coming on. Finally they replaced the sensor and no more problems.

Just because the check engine light came again on doesn't mean that it is the same problem. that light comes on for a bunch of reasons. Have the code read before you freak out. Besides your an 05, isn't your warranty expired(or about to do so). I would like to know because I have an 05 and I thought my warranty was up?

07 Stang, I hope that is it, I am bringing it back to the dealer this week, we will see what happens.

cat back JBA true duals with H pipe. No problems / no lights. I also have JBA 9mm wires and a K&N CAI with shaker connected directly to it. If it hasn't come on by now I doubt it will..............

RE: Dual Exhaust Problem, anyone else have it?(UPDATE)
OK, so I had the engine codes run today at advanced auto parts, 3 codes came up, 2 are the same as last time:
Same codes as before: P0153, bank 1 sensor 1
P0153, bank 1 sensor 1 (heat resistor)
Those codes came up last time, but this is the one that scares me:
New Code: P0300, Engine(cylinder) Misfire.
WTF???? My engine is misfiring? I suppose that is causing the o2 sensor to go bad? Now I am afraid to drive it, it is going to the dealership first thing in the morning.
