Default Screaming CAI

Okay so the other day I installed my s&b intake and tuner and the difference is amazing but it screams like crazy. It's like a high pitch squeel when ever I get on the gas. I've had other cai's on other cars but they always sounded more like just a lot of air being sucked in this sounds like someone is blowing a whistle in my engine bay lol. Does anyone else have this problem? Is it just the design of the intake? I'm thinking if anything though it's probaly the filter that was supplied with the kit.

You probably just have a hose leak (?) Maybe one of the clamps isnt tightened enough? Make sure everything is connected correctly..

Check for whistle producing leaks in the CAI system.
It should not scream like that.

I chcked all the clamps and everything is tight. Tomorrow I will remove the filter and give it a quick rev and see if the noise is still there. Yeah I did make the mistake of going cai instead of a s/c... someday soon though I hope. Well I'm looking more towards a turbo. I've owned a few s/c cars I think I would like to switch it up for once. I wish I got the s/c performance to go with my whine. First my gears whined and now my cai whines lol.

Okay today I tried to trouble shoot what the noise is so I tried to take off the filter and it still make the noise I chcked everything for vacuum leaks but everything seemed fine. I even removed the whole intake pipe from the tb, the car only ran for 2 seconds but for those 2 seconds I heard the whine. I'm not sure what it could be I didn't change anything other then the cai. Anyone have any other ideas?

Put your stock set up back on. See if it still whines. It sound like it will since you took off the CAI and you still had the noise. Maybe it isn't the CAI at all. I've seen some pretty wierd things happen when working on a car. As soon as you start to assume you know what is causing a certain problem, you can start to get into trouble.
