new wheels & tires
Just purchased atire from the Tire Rack via the internet and am completely happy with the transaction. Ordered it last Friday the 16th and they shipped it out Monday the 19th from Atlanta and I got it Tuesday here in Sarasota (FL). Not bad, just normal UPS ground. I bought a rim from Maxim Motorsports I've test fitted on my car and it fits great. Now goingto have the tire mounted and test fit the combination on all four hubs just to make sure of no problems. Should be perfectly ok then I'll buy the other 3 combos and get them on the car. The tire is a BFG gForce KDW 2, size 245/45/ZR18, 26.8 inches in diameter, same as the stock 215/65/16s. This way I won't loose any of my 4.10 gearing. Was gonna put 255s on, but decided against that, maybe just a little too big for what I wanted. Some pics below of the tire & wheel. By the way, is anyone currently running these tires? I read pretty good things about them except they get a little noisy when the tread gets near worn out. Jack
