Actually, I don't think that there is that much wind velocity in that area. I think "most" of the wind hits the front end of the car and Kind of "shock waves" over the top. The side louvers get a lot more wind and I've never heard of one of them comming off

I have that same scoop. I had my body guy cut a hole in the hood and make it a functional scoop to provide more air for the turbos. It is on really well and I have had no problems with it at all and I love to look of it.

Clean the wax off the car first where tape and promoter will go, Do not use tap on top of vinyl stripes, apply when temp is 70 or higherand you will be fine. I have rear Quarter window Scoops on my car 2 years now no problem.

Is your scoop on top of your hood stripes? I had heard thar you can use the double sided tape on top of the stripes. Would you lay the scoop on the hood and trace around the scoop and then remove the stripes that would be under the hood? And one more thing what kind of scoop do you have? It looks great on your car.

theres a guy in my area with a cervini's stang and he has problems all the time with his coming off. he finally had them bolted on.. so idk... that guy is the reason i didnt get mine put on. i bought them and sent them back. i mena he sent his to cervini's and he cant even keep them on.personally i think if youre not gonna have the car very long, or dont know if you like it yet go with the tape, but if you know you like it, and know you'll have the car for a while, and know you drive fast, bolt that sucker on.

I heard that you should not tape it down to the stripes it needs to be taped down to the Paint.
