Just cut it to the length you want then, grind the tip a little smaler, after you pulle the ball off the peice you cut see how small you have to grind the new antenna so the ball will fit, then jb weld it to the new smaller antenna and paint, your done!

+1 on the CAI . It's on the top of my list.

I HIGHLY recommend the SCT Xcal-II from Bama Chips with the C & L CAI intake combo. You get your choice of 3 tunes, it looks great, it's completely updatable, and yes it truly is the most bang for your buck...more power AND better gas mileage. Dual exhaust makes all the difference in the world! It opens up our 4.0. With my set up, NO ONE believes that I have a V-6, it sounds bad *** and runs like the wind. The tuner rewrites all of your car's CPU components that are bogged down by the factory. I have a 5-speed, but my understanding is that you'll get even greater throttle response in an automatic. My first mod was a crappy $100 Ebay CAI, which helped, then I converted to true dual exhaust w/an x-pipe and headers. Once I got the tuner and CAI, it was a completely different car! Look in my gallery for the two CAI set ups.

And don't cut off your antenna...just spend the $18 @ American Muscle for an 8", free shipping, easy to install, and gets perfect reception.

Yes you want a CAI/Tune... it makes the single biggest difference on our stangs than anything (under $1000)

You will fall in love with your Mustang all over again. I have a Bama tune and love it.

After the CAI/tune, you should get a new front fascia or at least a chin spoiler. I think the stock v6 front is not aggressive at all

Finish blacking it out, scoop the hood, stripe it, and hang a spoiler on the rear. Get it looking bad then make it run that way. Looks scares the competition 90%of the time.

White stripes! They look great on our Vista blue

definitely start with the intake/tune (more cost efficient and effective) and be prepared for some heartache when you get your car lowered, my driveway is on a steep upslope and on the rare occasions i park on it, i scrape something under my car on the way out... it makes me cringe every time
