Default dead battery

I have an 05. it has a 4.0 V6. Almost every morning when I try to start it, the battery is dead!!! I know others have had a similar problem. How did you fix it? I hate to think that the alternator is bad after only 30k miles. Is the stock battery a piece of garbage? HELP!!!

Just curious, but do you leave the radio on when you turn the car off? Also, do you have the Anti-Theft System inyour car and if so, do you click it once or twice when you lock it? From what I understand, leaving your radio on when your turn your car off or activating the Anti-Theft System for long periods of time will drain the battery.

I have heard people say that batteries today don't hold up like they used to. You are lucky to get 3 years out of them.

last year the Shaker 500 went bad on my wife's '05 vert (it drained the battery down). The dealer replaced it under warranty.

you need to click your alarm twice if you have the motion sensors....once will only arm the main alarm....press it again and the horn will beep the lights will flash and then the motion sensor will be armed.....i.e. the motion sensor will detect the window breaking and movement inside the car....when i show mine if i arm it....anyone who so much as sticks their head in the open window will set it off...it does not take much...... clicking only once arms the main alarm...i.e. the car has to essentially move for it to go off.....always press twice.... to fully arm both

I'm glad it's not the alternator, that dang thing is like $300!!!! As far a warranty, I think it expired about 15 minutes before I started having problems

Yes I know. My point was if you activate the Anti-Theft System and leave the car for over a week without starting, it may drain the battery.
Yeah, the system is very sensitive. I had my windows down with it armed and my daughter stuck her hand inside and the alarm went off.
