Default New X-Charger Numbers

I'm sure some of you guys maybe remember all the problems I had with the X-Charger. From installation to having low HP/TQ. Well, after all the mods I've done so far, I'm cranking in 271 HP/301 TQ.

Do these numbers sound right to you?

Not even 300HP!!!, I remember that a lot of people here said that with X you can beat a GT. How X can beat a GT if not even close to 300HP? I have a V6 too and I have 2nd thought of getting a X-charger versus trading ifor GT.

For one, the X-Charger as it is now, doesn't even have an intercooler. Once the intercooler for it comes out later this year, you can definately expect 300+ HP from it.

As for your GT comparison, I still whoop stock GT's. I've done it before. Remember two things. The V6 is lighter in weight. And two, the STOCK GT doesn't come 300 true HP, it comes like 265 true HP. So yes, any S/C V6 will beat a stock GT.

And by the way, I've killed a stock 2008 Saleen with the X-Charger. And it was my neighbor. But that was before he S/C'd it.

Apparently, stock 08' Saleen Mustangs get 310 rwhp even though they are advertised at 400HP I believe. This is coming from a guy who dyno'd his Saleen before S/C it.

My Hi-Po X with 2.8 Pulley only put down 271 HP / 298 TQ ...... I think to get the max out of it like shown on the Explorer Express site you have to have Doug do a fine tune on a dyno. The canned tunes must be somewhat conservative so they will work with everyones car ... either that or the Dyno that Explorer Express used is a little off ..... I'm gonna leave mine as is instead of squeezing all I can out of it ... I don't want any chance of breaking the engine ... or my manual transmission.

What you talking about ... stock GT is around 260-270 RWHP ... and Torque kicks in at much higher RPM that the X-V6 .... The X-V6 will be quicker ...

Most numbers I see, torque is a smaller number than HP. So... is it bad that I have a lot more torque than HP?
